The US-281 Hill Country between New Braunfels and the north side of San Antonio. Ridge country, Comal ISD schools, and newer planned pockets scattered among acreage. Apartment inventory is thin by design and the buildings that exist are recent. Renters choose it for the schools and the space, and accept a drive to reach either city: about half an hour to Stone Oak, a bit more back into New Braunfels.
