You still apply like any other renter: application, screening, deposit. The difference is the community completes paperwork with your housing authority and passes an inspection before you move in, which can add two to four weeks, so start earlier than you would for a market lease. Your voucher covers the portion of rent your housing authority approves; you pay the rest. Our help is free either way, and these are the communities that have processed vouchers smoothly for our renters.
